Classically Addie

Miss Addie, where has the time gone? Another birthday is here and the months seem to be flying by! I need you to slow down so I can savor the youngness that you exude. Everyday you wake up with your neverending energy, chattiness and willfulness. I suppose we are somewhat alike! I love the way you play with your younger siblings and take such good care of them. You are fun to have in the kitchen. I love watching you hang from the trees, play with playdough, build forts, play in the treehouse, jump on the trampoline, take pictures with my camera, get the mail, collect eggs, clean your room, draw, write plays, read until late in the night, plant flowers, ride your bike, play PIT, recite poems, sew and get excited about everything around you! I hope you never lose your sense of wonder, your liveliness or your spunk! Sometimes I don't always appreciate you for faithfully being energetic (like at 11:00 at night), but often I think of your smile and it warms my heart. I know you will grow up too quickly. I don't want that to come so soon. Please know that I love you dearly and am grateful that you are my daughter. Remember to sometimes be graceful and always be kind. I hope to always have dance parties with you and watch you grow beautiful wings to fly in this life. I hope you have a wonderful birthday!
